Payout Requests and Change in TOS Feb 07, 2010

PAYOUT REQUESTS: This months payout request have left me with an over whelming decision. In past months, we have been able to eliminate a lot of bot users and also multiple accounts. Eliminating China's capability to cash out with out an upgrade has helped but we have begun to see more users from India. I have had just as many problems with India as I had with China. One of the biggest problems that I have come up against is Proxy and Dynamic IP's. In some cases it is easy to spot these uses and in others it is not. As was stated to me by a user and Admin of another site, with a dynamic Ip I can delete them but it is just as easy for them to make another account. This is true and if there is nothing to tie these accounts together besides suspicion.. then there is no real action that I can take. With this being a fact of "it depends" with dynamic IP's, I have decided to enforce a strict policy to all users who have IP's that change. I apologize to our users that do not cheat. I value you as a member of our site and I hope that those of you who are honest can understand why I have made this new change. NEW POLICY: If your IP changes in any way your payout request will be canceled. You will be required to upgrade to at least our smallest package of $3 monthly via Paypal or Alertpay. An upgrade by our points store or account funds will no be acceptable. There will be no exceptions to any user. It does not matter what country you are from or how long you have been with our site. This rule applies to all members who have an IP that changes. If you log in to more than one computer, your request will be canceled and you will be required to upgrade also. To eliminate this from happening, please only use one computer to log in to our site and view ads. If I find that you are using Proxy and you upgrade, this still violates our TOS and your request will be canceled and your account will be deleted. WHAT DO I HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH BY THIS: After long debate, research, and consultation by someone I know that is knowledgeable in this area, I came to the conclusion that members who do want to earn with our site and do not have multiple accounts will upgrade. I am hoping to eliminate the multiple accounts that some members have. We have advertisers in our site that have been with us from the beginning and will continue to be with us. They are members who have invested in our site with upgrades and advertisements previously and still do today. This decision will not cause our site to loose funds to pay members but it will ensure that our advertisers are not being cheated. I refuse to let our site fold. I will do what ever it takes to eliminate cheaters. With this new policy in affect I believe we will be able to easily weed out those users who seek to drain funds through multiple accounts. More on Dynamic IP & extra masspayout for this month Feb 07, 2010

It has been brought to my attention, by PTC Investigations, that many people who have dynamic IP may not know they have it or may not know what this means. With this being the case, I wanted to email all of you to try to better explain. WHAT IS A DYNAMIC IP: A dynamic IP address changes each time you connect to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). This allows ISPs to keep a pool of addresses available to subscribers. If you disconnect from the ISP, your address is returned to the pool, becoming available to the next computer that connects. WHY IS THIS A PROBLEM IN PTC SITES: The problem this creates is the availability to create multiple accounts. Members who have a dynamic IP can create multiple accounts because the IP they are registering with is not the one they used previously. It is very hard to catch a member who has multiple accounts with a dynamic IP because they never use the same one. When a member creates multiple accounts, they view multiple ads in one day and request payout multiple times a month. These users drain our sites funds and our advertisers are receiving multiple views by only one person which causes a loss for them. Members who do this do not make purchases. They use up the credits that honest members who view once a day would earn instead. WHAT CAN HAPPEN IF I CONTINUE TO IGNORE THIS ISSUE: Any PTC that has multiple joins who request payout will fold. It is not a possibility for any site to continue to pay out multiple times to one user who never purchases. WHAT IS A SOLUTION TO DYNAMIC IP: Static IP: A static IP address is fixed, much like a telephone number. If your ISP gives you a static address, you will always use the same address. Servers usually have static addresses, so they can always be found at the same location. You can contact your internet provider for a static IP for those of you who are interested. UPGRADING FOR PAYOUT REQUESTS: In my earlier email I stated that if you have a dynamic IP address you must upgrade via Paypal or Alertpay. Our smallest monthly upgrade at this time was our basic monthly upgrade for $3. After much discussion with members who wish to upgrade but $3 is too much, I decided to add a Dynamic Monthly upgrade for $1. This will ensure that you are able to upgrade easier for users who wish to continue to earn and cash out but hopefully will still turn off cheaters. You must be upgraded via Paypal or Alertpay at every payout request. In our forum a member stated that we need to do cheat checks. We do cheat checks daily but you can not match up an IP if it is constantly changing. In our forum a member stated that we need to find the holes that allow members to cheat instead of making members upgrade. Dynamic IP itself is a hole and at this moment this is the only solution that I see. I have had a few negative reviews about this change. I expected more than what I have received but for the most part members can see that they are earning over $1 monthly with no referrals and that even though they are required to upgrade, they are able and have made a profit over this. Many aurora sites have changed and are requiring upgrades because of this situation. I know it is a hard adjustment as any adjustment is and I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. EXTRA MASSPAYOUT: This decision has interrupted our mass payout for this month. This is not our members fault and I do not wish to make any of you wait another month for your payout because you needed an upgrade for your dynamic IP. I have decided to finish our mass payout but also have another mass payout on the 22nd of this month so that members who are not upgraded at this time can receive their payout requests after purchasing their upgrade. At this time you must be upgraded via Alerptay or Paypal at every payout request. Any users, with dynamic IP, who have made a purchase previously (by Paypal or Alertpay) giving them a free upgrade will still receive their payout requests as long as your upgrade has not ran out. Paypal Payments to India Feb 07, 2010

It has been brought to my attention that Paypal has stopped allowing personal payments to be sent to or from India. Some other site owners have sent payments before they knew this, only to have Paypal stop the payment and return the funds. Until this issue has been resolved, I have no choice but to only pay India members through Alertpay. If you have requested a payment through Paypal and you are from India, I will still verify your account for payment but it will be canceled. After this mass pay is sent out, please request your payment through Alertpay (If you have an account). We are doing a second mass payout this month on the 22nd so you will be able to be paid by then. If Paypal changes this new rule, I will let you know ;) Also, because of our new TOS, I am a couple days behind for mass payout. I still have over 300 accounts to go through but I will try to be finished as quickly as possible. Even though we are doing a mass payout on the 22nd, I will begin verifying accounts and sending payments daily until the specified date of our second mass payout.
